Course aims
Students acquire skills to teach drug prevention subjects in secondary schools.
Brief description of the course
Classification and characteristics of drugs. Narcotics, alcohol and smoking, their influence on the body. Inducement and stimuli for using, establishing consumption, destructive influence on health, development of addition (dependency) and degradation of personality. Drugs, crime and legislation. Prevention of drugs. Drug risks. Alcohol and the body (from all health aspects). Beliefs connected with alcohol-drug behaviour. Drug addiction and its stages affecting the behaviour of young people. How to feel good without drugs. Laws, crime, drugs. Consulting methodology. The ability to cure drug addiction.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
