Course aims

To impart basic knowledge of human physiology which is necessary for completion of core subjects.

Brief description of the course

General characteristics of human physiology. Physiology of blood and blood circulation. Respiration. Alimentation. Energy and muscle metabolism. Endocrine system. Nervous and neuromuscular system.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
Loengutel omandatakse teoreetilised teadmised üldfüsioloogias.
10-12 liikmelistes rühmades sooritatakse praktilisi töid ja seminare, mille käigus omandatakse praktilised oskused füsioloogiliste näitajate määramiseks ning nende omavaheliste seoste leidmiseks.
Kontrolltööde käigus kontrollitakse üliõpilaste poolt omandatud teadmiste kvaliteeti.
