Course aims
To form an understanding between relationships of physical activity and health and physical capability for work for sport students, give basic knowledge of sport medicine, monitoring the health of youth (sport), health sport and top class sport.
Brief description of the course
Sport and medicine. Goals of sport medicine. Health control in sport. Laboratory identification of capability for work. Sport medical profile for different sport fields. Conducting sport training. Diagnostics of present situation. Medical-pedagogical control in sport. Women in sport. Children and sport. Sport in different environmental conditions. Medical aid in competitions and training camps. Restoration in sport. Nutrition and sport, sport-drinks. Doping. The battle against doping in the world.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
Lectures, seminars, practical training. Students are informed of methods for monitoring health and the determination of physical capability for work in laboratory conditions.
