Course aims
To create opportunities for understanding and analysing the links between and effects of social changes and lifelong learning.
Brief description of the course
Theories of the learning society. Social capital. Lifelong learning, corporate power and the globalising world. Lifelong learning, education and changes in Estonian society (social, political, cultural and economic changes).
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows different theories of the learning society and uses them in the context of the development trends of society and education;
- understands the relationships between learning and social change.
