Course aims
• to create conditions for getting acquainted with school learning environment, teaching and teacher's role therein,
• to support acquirement of primary observation skills for getting an overview of the teachers´ profession in school.
Brief description of the course
Familiarization with school and classroom physical environment. Familiarization with school documentation. Monitoring teacher´s activities and role at school. Differentiation and temporal determination of lesson structural elements. Teacher network. Teacher job shadowing. Cooperation with students and teachers in non-curriculum lesson activities. Preparation of non-curriculum lesson activities and participation in them. Tutoring students´ learning.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- interprets what is happening in school driven from teacher´s role and follows professional and ethical requirements;
- knows principles of school as organization;
- is able to observe and analyze school learning environment, conducting lesson, students´ action in lesson and teacher´s various work tasks at school.
