Course aims

Link previous teaching experience and gained knowledge with school reality;
Enable student to develop as subject teacher and class manager;
Support students ability to communicate with school family as teacher and formation of comprehensive occupational picture of role;
Support student in planning professional development.

Brief description of the course

Practice is carried out at the II and III level of basic school. Getting to know to the practice school, the school's organisation of work. Observation of theachers` lessons, teaching the subjects of speciality. Getting to know and fulfilling the tasks of the class manager (incl the class manager`s lesson). Completing individual task in extra-curricular activities and valuing the experience. Receiving feedback of the work done, analysing and assessing it.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to take into account educational objectives, national and school´ curriculum when planning learning and educational process, creates links between various subjects and thematic areas;
- uses knowledge, vocabulary and methods correct and adequate to student´ s character and age;
- analyzes learning and educational process and their activities according to proposed adjectives and source documents;
- is able to plan further action on this basis, considers informal and formal requirements in preparation of development portfolio;
- follows the rules of courtesy and school practices, is guided by teacher ethics, cooperates with supervisors and other practice-related people.
