Course aims
The objective of the course is to receive an overview of the theoretical background in the choice of methods and their application principles in adult education and to receive relevant practical skills.
Brief description of the course
The essence of a method and its theoretical background. Aims of methods. An overview of different learning methods (lecture, group work, role plays, case analysis etc.) and their application principles. Supporting independent learning in adult education. Opportunities to support learning at a workplace. Suitable methods for reflection. Study methods and the learning environment. Feedback and assessment methods.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- understands the principles of choosing and applying methods and their functions;
- notices different methods, is able to analyse and give feedback about the method experience;
- is able to creatively employ suitable methods in the fields of practice of andragogy.
