Course aims
Develop readiness to plan, conduct, and manage project-based learning and learning activities outside the classroom.
Support the implementation of didactic in novel formats and learning environments;
Support project-based learning and learning outside the classroom within the framework of school practice.
Brief description of the course
The course focuses on instructional formats that allow for the integration of diverse learning content and various learning environments to create a comprehensive and enriching learning experience. Participants in the course will conduct project-based learning activities (during the first school practice) and learning activities outside the classroom (during the second school practice). The course begins with introductory lectures, followed by seminars focusing on planning, conducting, and providing feedback on project-based learning and learning outside the classroom. The course concludes with a seminar-style self-analysis and reflection on activities.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- reflects on learning in various learning environments and project-based learning in the context of general education, when designing an inclusive and supportive learning environment;
- understands the principles that ensure meaningful and effective learning during project-based learning and learning outside the classroom;
- applies methodological approaches derived from subject didactics in the teaching process by integrating learning content;
- develops learning instructions to support project-based learning and learning outside the classroom;
- observes and analyzes project-based learning and learning outside the classroom;
- sets learning objectives, plans, manages, and implements project-based learning and learning activities outside the classroom within the framework of school practices;
- analyzes and critically evaluates their knowledge and skills regarding project-based learning and conducting lessons outside the classroom.
