Course aims
To understand the nature of the psyche and how it differs from non-psyche-related phenomena. To familiarise themselves with the basis and principles of the functioning of the psyche.
Brief description of the course
Psyche. Paradigms and methods of psychology. Implementation opportunities of psychology. Sensory processes: vision, hearing, balance, spatial position of the body, deep and tactile sensation, smell and flavour sensation, other senses. Motorics. The construction and functioning of the nervous system. Mental processes: emotions, motivation, perception, memory, thinking, planning activities, language and speech.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- understands the nature of the psyche and its difference from non-psyche-related phenomena;
- is aware of the basis and principles of the functioning of the psyche.
