Course aims

Implementing knowledge and skills, getting new experience through practical activity and suggestions of the supervisor.

Brief description of the course

School practice is performed in experienced schools where the regulations of creative activities of remedial education are followed. School practice is performed both in primary school (1.-2 class) and in basic school (6.-8. class). Study materials of either Mathematics, Mother Tongue, Music, Movement etc are compiled. The trainee teacher gets acquainted with the organisation of remedial education at school – timetables, rooms, cooperation with colleagues and parents.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
Students have lesson observation skills;
They can critically assess a remedial education lesson from the point of view of children, who need remedial education;
They have experiences in planning, carrying out and analysing remedial education lessons; They have teamwork experiences in working with solving problems for children, who need remedial education.
