Course aims

To support development and use of professional terminology.

Brief description of the course

Scientific language. Information and communication science terminology. Development of Estonian language terminology: Activity of the terminology commission. Vocabularies. Standards.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
Knowledge of terminology standards;
Ability to use terminology in teaching and research activities;
Ability to critically analize the use of terminology.
