Course aims
- To support obtaining knowledge and to develop skills to work with cultural heritage collections and to introduce them to the public.
-To create preconditions to pass professional placement (working with cultural heritage collections in memory institutions).

Brief description of the course
Description of documents (artifacts) taking into account the specific needs of different memory institutions.
Organising and depositing documents (artifacts). Use of collections.
Preparing and organising expositions. Regulations in providing access to cultural heritage collections, intellectual poperty rights. Compilation of presentations, exhibition texts, catalogues and collection descriptions.

Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
A student who has passed the course:
- knows the rules to describe, organise and deposit documents (artifacts) belonging to the cultural heritage;
- knows the rules and laws to provide access to cultural heritage;
- is competent to use memory institutions' information systems;
- is able to work in a team and be flexible;
- is able to compile texts and other publications in Estonian and in a foreign language to introduce cultural heritage collections.
