Course aims
The aim of the information and knowledge management practice is to consolidate the theoretical knowledge acquired in the study process about the organization and the information and knowledge processes of the organization, applying this knowledge in the analysis of the information and knowledge processes of a specific organization.
Brief description of the course
During the internship, the student performs the internship tasks prescribed in the internship instructions. At the beginning of the internship, the student prepares an individual internship plan together with the internship-based supervisor, which reflects the tasks and deadlines for their completion, and the internship plan is attached to the report.
The student prepares an overview report analyzing the progress of the internship. The defense of the internship takes place before the Defense Committee at a time agreed in advance. If possible, supervisors from the internship base also participate in the defense of the internship.

In the defense, the student gives a brief overview of the organization chosen as the internship base, characterizing its nature, goals and organizational culture; deals in more detail with the tasks performed during the internship; submits his / her assessments and comments, including regarding the application or lack of knowledge gained during the studies.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows how to analyze different information and knowledge management - opportunities and technologies in an organisation;
- knows different information sources and is able to use them;
- is able to define the personnel information needs.
