Course aims

To create conditions for the development of understanding of the connections between the different forms and ways of receiving, perceiving, understanding and analyzing information, transmitting information and presenting information.

Brief description of the course

Perception, reception and understanding of information. The concept of text and its changes in modern times. Typology of texts and requirements for web texts. Application of text analysis and synthesis skills in the creation of information products (abstract, information review, media monitoring) that support the management decisions of the organization. Differences between oral and written communication. Methodology of preparation of the presentation and presentation.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- has knowledge of the factors influencing the perception, interpretation and understanding of information and the need to take them into account;
- knows the peculiarities of different types of text;
- masters the techniques and methods of textual information analysis;
- is able to compile reports and information reviews and make presentations.
