Course aims
To develop knowledge and understanding on intellectual property rights (IPR) through studying the copyright and relates rights and legal protection to the objects of industrial property.
Brief description of the course
The content of the course is divided into five modules: 1) intellectual property; 2) copyright; 3) copyright and relates rights; 4) industrial property rights (patents, trademarks, industrial designs, geographical indications); 5) international organizations and agreements of IPR.
Individual work: Reading compulsory literature, practical written individual assignments.

90% of the course will be conducted in e-learning environment Moodle
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
The students are able:
- to identify and characterize most important areas of IPR: copyright and related rights, industrial property rights and international treaties and conventions of IPR.
-to define the scope and content of IPR.
