Course aims
The objective of the course is to teach transferable skills about game development, focusing on industry standard practices and tools.
Brief description of the course
Game development process, an overview of game development tools; introduction to the selected environment (e.g. Unity); general layout of the working area and tools; recommended workflow; creating gameplay mechanics; 2D game creation; animations; game feel and tweens; physics; UI.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has an overview of common game development tools and workflows;
- can plan and realize a digital game in the engine used for the course.
