Course aims
The workshop offers students an opportunity to explore the interplay between a broad set of skills and knowledge underpinning related to interaction design. Students will be able to refine and mature their skills in conducting user and contextual research; analysing to identify insights and design principles that may be used to reframe and refine solutions; and in creating novel design concepts.
Brief description of the course
The course offers students the opportunity to practice methods for design research, concept development, interaction design, concept validation, prototyping, and user experience evaluation.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- develops an holistic understanding of what an interaction design process entails;
- is able to select and adopt appropriate paradigms, methods and techniques;
- is able to plan and report full or partial interaction design processes.
