Course aims
The purpose of this course is to introduce the main theories and aspects of learning theories that are important in developing learning games.
Brief description of the course
Students will learn the main principles of pedagogical psychology, main learning theories and educational special needs.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows main learning theories and can plan the learning outcomes of a game;
- can take into account learners’ psychological, age and special needs when developing learning games;
- knows different learning difficulties and educational special needs;
- knows what motivates the learner and can take this knowledge into account when developing the game;
- is up-to-date with current knowledge from a psychological perspective in the field of his/her thesis.
