Course aims
The objective of the course is to provide students with fundamental knowledge on how to manage technology-powered products that help solve the end users’ problems and also giving insight into how modern product teams operate.
Brief description of the course
This course elaborates on the role that product management plays in building technology-powered products. It's constructed around how product teams operate and is backed by a variety of examples from modern tech products and practical exercises including Design Sprint.

Throughout the length of the course, a student will learn about product discovery and delivery processes, from problem research to solution release, focusing on the product manager's role in each phase. Students will be given an overview of what a Product Manager does, how the function changes depending on different stages of the product life cycle, and how a Product Manager is different from roles like Project Manager or Product Owner. This course will also discuss problem-driven vs. feature-driven approaches and will touch on topics like product vision, strategy, OKRs, and stakeholder relationships.
