Course aims
To develop the students' skills of integrating the theory and practice of informatics in real-life workplace settings, either in school or business enterprise; preparation of students for the teaching practice.
Brief description of the course
The theoretical knowledge obtained in informatics and subject didactics courses is put into practice in real workplace environment – either school or business enterprise. The student prepares 4 practicum tasks for which feedback will be received from the supervising teacher, lecturer and peer students. Two of these tasks are carried out at the workplace enivronment according to the individual action plan (in agreement with the supervisor).
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- observes and analyses professional problem situations in the workplace based on the given criteria;
- prepares an observation protocol based on the given form;
- selects a suitable technical solution, learning resources and digital tools based on the given topic;
- prepares an assessment rubric to evaluate the activities and performance results of people participating in the observed practicum situations;
- makes proposals for changing the work or learning environment and work or learning methods based on the analysis of the observed situation (e.g. a subject lesson).
