Course aims
To provide opportunities for obtaining basic knowledge and skills for creating multimedia based applications. Provide opportunity to obtain basic programming skills. To support the development of skills for creating digital learning materials.
Brief description of the course
Web page as environment for multimedia. HTML and CSS. Principles for web design. Adding interactivity and controlling media playback with Javascript.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- understands the principles of using multimedia elements;
- explains the principles of creating web pages;
- describes the key features of HTML;
- applies the essential tools of CSS;
- understands the fundamentals of programming and utilizes basic JavaScript functions;
- creates web pages containing digital media clips;
- designs web layouts using CSS;
- controls media playback and adds interactivity using JavaScript.
