Course aims
To introduce the technological fundamentals of artificial intelligence (AI) and to develop learners’ ability to consciously and ethically apply AI in designing and supporting teaching and learning.
Brief description of the course
The course introduces the fundamental principles of artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications in education. Learners will analyze various AI tools and use them to create learning materials and support the learning process. The course also addresses ethical, pedagogical, and practical aspects of AI use, including the evolving roles of teachers and learners.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- understands the fundamental principles of artificial intelligence and its applications in education;
- is able to evaluate the reliability, ethical implications, and suitability of AI tools in the instructional design process;
- uses AI tools for creating learning materials, supporting reflection, and enhancing the learning process;
- designs and evaluates learning environments that integrate AI tools to support both learners and teachers.
