Course aims
The aim of the course is to introduce the best practices from both global and Estonian contexts to enhance the organization of work processes within IT organizations.
The focus of the course is on activities related to IT management.
Brief description of the course
The course addresses various methodologies for IT work organization (including ITIL, ISO 20000, MOF, LEAN, DevOps, Kanban, etc.). Work organization is examined from the perspectives of strategy, planning, transition, and maintenance. Within the context of organizational processes, various activities and roles are clarified, with a particular emphasis on the skill of process optimization.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- understands the key concepts of work organization;
- has acquired basic knowledge of various methods and principles of work organization;
- is able to assess, implement, and optimize IT processes;
- is capable of setting goals and metrics to evaluate result.
Additional information
To be eligible to take the exam, the student must submit an independent work at least 3 days before the exam.
