Course aims
* Provide the understanding about the role of User Engagement (UE) in HCI.
* Explaining the UE oriented design by it’s main components: persuasion, trust and emotion.
* Give an experience of analysing interactive product from the aspects of UE.
Brief description of the course
Contact learning duration is 8 weeks and consist:
1.Concepts of UE, the aspects of UE.
◦Explaining the scope of using UE design.
◦The psychology of UE.
2.The role of persuasion in user engagement.
3.Discussion
4.The role of trust in user engagement.
5.Discussion
6. The role of emotions in user engagement.
7. Discussion
8. Conclusive lesson.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
After completing the course, students can:
* Understand the role of User Engagement (UE) in HCI.
* Recognize the main components of UE in interaction design:
persuasion, trust and emotion.
* Analyse interactive product from the aspects of UE.
* Propose UE-related design suggestions
