Course aims

To perform the analysis of the topic, objectives, research methodology, results and their application of the master thesis.

Brief description of the course

The student composes and presents an survey article (20 000-25 000 characters) about the objectives, methodology, results and conclusions of the topic of his/her master thesis. The article should also contain an historical view of the problems and possible further implementations of the results, both in local (Estonian) as well in international perspective.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to compose a survey article in which (s)he explains the actuality of the research problem (including possible applications of the results);
- presents an historical view of the problem;
- research methods used as well as the most widely discussed problems in the area;
- is able to run a seminar.
