Course aims
Course aims to introduce social and cultural specifities of networked society, its identity and dynamics, supporting technologies, possibilities and application fields of social network analysis.
Brief description of the course
-The nature of networked society, its components, dynamics and cultural specifities;
- Social processes, roles, identity and structure in networks;
- Social networks as processors and managers of information;
- Social network analysis, methods and tools;
- Technological applications and platforms as mediator of networking and interaction;
- Challenges of networking, dangers and usefulness;
- Social networks as a support for professional development and learning;
- Current and future trends in networking

Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- Acquires the knowledge of networked sociaty and related cultural and social changes, including dangers;
- Can analyse and identify affordances of networked technologies, differencies, advantages and problems;
- Knows how to conduct social network analysis;
- Understands own role and identity in networkes and can apply networks for supporing own development;
- Has the knowledge about trends of networks, develoment directions and knows how to count them in own professional activities.
