Course aims
Support students in the process of composing and defending the bachelor thesis and increase the quality of final papers.
Brief description of the course
The course consists of seminars that introduce the general principles of academic research, provide overview of the most common research methods, discuss generic quality criteria and introduce the principles of structure, presentation, references etc.
Independent work
1. Formulation of the idea of thesis
2. Defining the goal of the paper
3. Designing the development plan of the paper
4. Creating the questionnaire for collecting empirical data
5. Formating the references and list of literature
6. Reading, analyzing and discussing student papers
Putting together the plan of thesis
7. Designing and presenting the research plan of the thesis
Learning outcomes in the course
The student is able to design and prepare a research work which contains a systematic and logical presentation of a relevant problem and according to the academic criteria for a scientific paper.
Assessment methods
Pass/Fail Assessment
Student will design and present the research plan of the final thesis. Presentation is like defense in the front of the teachers and fellow students.
Prerequisite for the assessment is submission of all independent work results on time and with the accepted quality.
