Course aims
To develop the ability to find and work with professional literature, to perform research activities and to develop skills for composition of research papers. To develop students skills in research or development project and to formalize the results of research in a suitable form.
Brief description of the course
Research paper is based on a guided research of a student on a topic proposed by a supervisor or by a company. The paper can be based on an original software development accompanied by needs analysis and appropriate documentation as well as a manual, learning material, analysis of some new technology etc. The work is accompanied by seminars about basic steps in research work and development research.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
Knows how to find and use appropriate literature and electronic means of production. Knows quality criterias for research and development work and is able to evaluate quality of research and development work. Is able to find researchquestions and aims for development, plan research- and developmentproject. Is able to give his work proper structure and format it as well.
