Course aims
To provide an overview of how search engines work and how to make web content visible to the search engines. To provide the knowledge and skills in the field of web site optimization, in order to achieve the best visibility through the most commonly used search engines.
Brief description of the course
Most commonly used search engines. Types of search engines. Organic search listings. Keywords and their importance in SEO. Page Rank. How page ranking works. Sponsored results. Important seps in optimizing web content. Potential site design problems. Black Hat Seo. SEO strategy guide.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
The student knows how search engines evaluate the relevance of web material. Student can use basic tools to improve the web content visibility via search engines. Student knows basic rules how to design search engines friendly website. Understanding of the main obstacles and the most common errors in the preparation of web sites and its content. Knows how to avoid mistakes with the result that web content is poorly understood by search engines or low rated (Page Rank).
