Course aims
Through learning Hangeul (Korean alphabet) and understanding its excellence, students will simultaneously explore various aspects of Korean culture, aiming to broaden their understanding of Korean culture and enhance their cross-cultural interaction skills.
Brief description of the course
Students will study the history and principles of the creation of Hangeul. After learning about consonants, vowels, and final consonants, they will be able to read Hangeul. Additionally, students will explore eight topics related to Korean culture, and by comparing them with their own culture, they will cultivate an understanding of Korean culture.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to understand the history and principles of the creation of Hangeul;
- is able to read and write Hangeul;
- can describe various aspects of Korean culture;
- can compare and explain Korean culture with their own culture. able to explain Korean culture and compare it with their own.
