Brief description of the course
This course deepens Japanese language proficiency by consolidating CEFR level A1 and progressing toward level A2 (approximating JLPT N5/N4). The focus is on eight fundamental verb forms (dictionary, masu, te, ta, nai, nakatta, potential, and volitional forms) and their combinations. Students learn 137 new kanji characters (209 in total). Students learn to use basic vocabulary and distinguish between polite and informal speech according to the communication setting and cultural context. The course fosters the ability to work both independently and in teams. Students are expected to analyze their own learning process and consciously set goals to shape their individual learning path.
