Brief description of the course
During the course, students focus on understanding and applying more complex morphological and syntactic structures of Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), achieving a level of proficiency corresponding approximately to CEFR level B1.
The course covers topics such as the auxiliary vowel hamzat al-waṣl, negation structures (lā, mā), restrictive particles, adverbials, and numerals.

Particular attention is given to the use of the dual in verb forms. In syntax, the course addresses the circumstantial accusative (ḥāl) and related clause structures, as well as sentences involving the dual form.

Special emphasis is placed on the development of reading skills, including the comprehension of more complex classical Arabic texts, as well as on the use of the language in a wider range of academic and everyday contexts.
Learning takes place through guided instruction, practical grammar and communication exercises, reading and analysis of texts, and both oral and written expression. The course fosters students’ independence, readiness for collaboration, and initiative in solving linguistic problems, as well as the informed use of digital tools in language learning.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
