Course aims

An overview of the Finno-Ugric studies and history of the key trends, the Finno-Ugric languages ​​and nations.

Brief description of the course

An overview of the past and present of Finno-Ugric languages. Introduces the Finno-Ugric research centers and researchers, literature, bibliographies, archival collections, essential web addresses, collections and information systems of libraries.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
The student has a systematic knowledge of the Finno-Ugric peoples and languages​​, the history of Finno-Ugric studies.
