Course aims
To deepen the knowledge of the development of the Finno-Ugric literature, authors, and central works; to form the skill of associating important events of the Finno-Ugric literature with the evolution of the language and culture study.
Brief description of the course
The Finno-Ugric peoples, the theories of their linguistic relationship, their history, mutual literal features, different approaches to the Karelian, Komi, Udmurt, Mari, Mordva, Khanty, Mansi and Nenents literature, their history and individuality, a short review of the Livonian, Veps, Selkup literature, material on the tribe peoples that do not have literature. Literal research, interactive literal contacts and translations.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
The deep knowledge of the Finno-Ugric literature, important authors and literal works.
