Course aims
Overview of the origin of Estonian language.
Brief description of the course
Current problems of Finno-Ugric peoples origin. Formation of the Estonian language and its historical background, contacts with other languages and dialects. Estonian variability. Estonian dialects , relations with other sciences, modern researches.

Upon completing the course the student:
