Course aims
This course provides PhD students with a deep understanding of research methodology, ethics, and principles of academic research. Course prepares for academic research work through theoretical and practical learning.
Brief description of the course
This course is designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, focusing on the development of research designs and navigating ethical dilemmas in academic work. Course enhances academic research skills through hands-on exercises and real-world scenarios.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of academic research, methodological approaches and their application in academic research;
- designs research proposals, incorporating theoretical frameworks, methodological approaches, and ethical considerations;
- analyzes and addresses potential ethical dilemmas in research, demonstrating the ability to make informed decisions that uphold research integrity.
