Course aims
Create the preconditions for acquiring the understanding of the natural environment as an initial source for self-accomplishment on three levels: nature as a supporter for survival; nature as a resource for self-development; nature as the supporter for the creation of something new in different fields of activity. Students who have taken the course and pass the final test will have learned to see and interpret nature as a resource for coping and for creating something new, and will be able to use the acquired knowledge later when working in their chosen field.
Brief description of the course
The types of relations between humans and nature (direct or mediated, concrete or abstract) and levels (subconscious, cognitive, emotional, aesthetic, utilitarian, ethic, symbolical). Perception of nature and perception of life. Internal harmonisation, how to achieve it. Audio-visual creative work as the deepener of the perception of nature. The expression of the perception of nature as a single picture, a series of pictures or a video. The levels of inspiration in nature, depending on a person's hereditary culture: listening to the language of nature; perception of nature as the source of inspiration; fixation of the result of the creative act, its positioning in culture and carrying on to future generations.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
Ability to see and acknowledge nature as a resource of coping and creating something new. Ability to implement acquired knowledgwe and gained experience in support of creativity expression in one’s field.
Ability to use acquired knowledge and gained experience in educational work.
