Course aims
To integrate PhD students in daily research activities in the field of cultural data analytics, provide them the opportunity to present their own latest research results, and to discuss and hear the presentations of researchers and other PhD students
Brief description of the course
The course consists of weekly lab seminars. Assessment consists of 80% participation, a monthly research presentation (20 minutes plus discussion; 3-4 presentations per semester) and a weekly short presentation regarding ongoing research activities (3 minutes). Participation is limited to a small group of students.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has gained experience in presenting one's research in a multidisciplinary setting;
- has practiced participation in academic discussion;
- got an overview of the research conducted by fellow doctoral students in the given semester.
