If this requirement has not been met, compensatory courses required by the coordinator of the curriculum shall be passed to complement the student's knowledge of the speciality.

to provide comprehensive academic education in the field of pedagogy and teacher training in mathematics and physics or chemistry and biology; ability to work as a teacher of mathematics and physics or chemistry and biology in basic schools;
to support science- and inquiry-based approach in teaching and readiness for continued professional development;
to facilitate the development of awareness of connections between speciality studies and school practice;
to facilitate the use of ICT in teaching and the development of skills and knowledge of educational technology.

including a pass in compulsory subjects, preparation and public examination of Master's thesis. As a prerequisite for graduation the curriculum establishes a B2-level command of one foreign language on the basis of the European Language Portfolio and C1-level command of Estonian for students with Russian-language pre-university education.
