Admission exam comprises a discussion on the basis of the candidate’s project of his/her MA research, in order to clarify his/her motivation, expectations and capacities of doing research. The candidate presents to the admission committee the project of his/her would- be MA research, specifying its field and object and providing a short bibliography of source and also making an initial hypothesis.
The candidate must be proficient (CEFR level C1) in his/her language of specialisation.

Create the preconditions for continuing doctoral studies in the field of humanities at Tallinn University or other universities, including MA or PhD studies in the universities of France, Italy and other countries.
Basic principles of the curriculum:
A preciser mapping of French and /or Italian society and culture as a field of studies and research;
A considerable increse in seminar forms of study and independent readings in respect to BA studies;
Creating a favourable environment for independent research, including feedback and discussions;
Interdisciplinary approach in the researched disciplines;
Valorisation of critical attitude, creativity and individual approach;
Formation of the conception of becoming a specialist in Romance studies (specialist in French and/or Italian studies) as a both a researcher and mediator and the promoter of the Romance studies’ tradition.
