which includes passing all compulsory courses and compiling and defending the Master_s thesis. For the first foreign language, a C1 level must be achieved in order to graduate, and for the second foreign language at least a B2 level is required (except for English and Russian, where a C1 level is a prerequisite already at the start of studies). Students who have not graduated from upper secondary schools where Estonian is the language of instruction, or who have graduated from schools where Estonian is only partly the language of instruction, are required to have Estonian language proficiency at C1 level.
