Course aims
This lecture course is aimed at comprehensive analysis of some major Russian literary works (of lecturer’s choice) in and out of contexts.
Brief description of the course
What is Russian literature of the Late Middle Ages? Russian Baroque literature. Classicism in Russian literature. What is Russian literary canon?
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows how to learn how to analyze texts of various periods in Russian literary history and how to put these texts into relevant contexts.
