Course aims
The aim of the course is to develop the knowledge about basic principles of biomechanics and motor control of human movement. Also to develop the understanding and application skills of motion analysis and feedback technical solutions/ methods used in the field of motor learning.

The study program covers the following topics:
• Overview of theoretical and practical aspects of kinesiology
• Kinematic and kinetic characteristics of motion biomechanics and their recording methodologies;
• Biomechanical aspects of the structure and function of the human musculoskeletal system and its components;
• Basic principles of motor control of the neuromuscular apparatus and methodologies for assessing muscle function;
• Quantitative and qualitative analysis of human movement technique;
• Learning and teaching of movement skills.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has knowledge of general principles of body structure, is capable of training process optimal planning and conscious direction of movements to achieve maximum results with simultaneous avoidance of traumas and overloads;
- has knowledge of contemporary electronic devices and programs for movement recording and competency in their usage.
