Course aims
To provide the student with initial experience of supervising a group of young people and to deepen his professional knowledge and skills.
Brief description of the course
During the practice the student supervises a youth group, including planning, conducting, giving feedback and analyzing activities.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows and understands the role of the supervisor in group process;
- is able to use the acquired knowledge in practical work with young people;
- analyzes his/her own activity as a supervisor;
- helps young people make sense of their experiences and achievements;
- provides constructive feedback and expresses his/her appreciation in the light of the set objectives;
- knows the main group processes, is able to instruct a group of young people, is able to work in a team;
- is able to create the conditions for emerging and developing trustful relations between young people;
- is able to monitor and support the development of relationships, taking into account group processes, as well as the individual development of the young;
- is able to create, launch and supervise a youth group.
