Course aims
To promote formation of skill to carry out the analysis of the text by means of modern linguistic methods.
Brief description of the course
Two basic properties of the text: coherence and integrity.
Grammatical and lexical means of creation coherence the text. Narrative and a discourse.
The analysis of semantic space of the text (denotative, emotional etc. space of the text).
Extralinguistic parameters of the analysis of the text.

Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has knowledge of methods of text linguistic analysis;
- is able to use the acquired knowledge in analyzing the text;
- can compose text based on learned methods.
