Course aims
Aim of this course is to: create practical knowledge about research design, teach students how to critically analyze research and write academical texts, give practical know how for MA Thesis design and text. Develop language skills specific for global studies including academic writing skills, oral presenation skills, and termonology. Develop digital skills necessary for academic writing
Brief description of the course
Components of research and analytical work. Framework for research and its function. The role of theory and context in a research. Research problem and asking questions. Argumentation, its structure and hierarchy. Termanology specific for global studies will be covered. Digital referenceing options will be introduced.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has knowledge about research design;
- knows how to critically analyze research and write academical texts;
- has practical knowledge for MA Thesis design and text.
