Course aims
The aim of the course is to give the students a thorough introduction to international relations that allows them in the future
- To study international relations in depth
- To connect international relations to other subjects
- To understand and analyse current events in international relations
Brief description of the course
The course covers the main topics in international relation: important historic events, nature and development of international relations, IR theories, international organisations, international security and economy, foreign policy and other topics related to IR.
Course is taught separately in Estonian and in English.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows the most important areas affecting international relations;
- knows and can evaluate connections between different IR fields;
- can analyze events and developments in international relations
