Course aims

The objective of the course is to support students in formulating a precise research topic and in finding literature and methods for writing the thesis.

Brief description of the course

Participation in seminars is compulsory, students will discuss and give comments to each others work. Each student has to give two presentations during the seminars: first short presentation introducing the outline of his/her thesis (main research question, theoretical background, methodology, structure of the paper) and second presentation introducing the preliminary outcomes of the research. In the end of the seminars students have to write a paper based on their presentations (written according to the requirements of a bachelor thesis).

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- has experience of gathering information and data for writing the thesis,
- has ability to present and defend one’s thought and the development of the narrower topic for the thesis.
