Course aims
The aim of this course is to give an overview of sexual education and its modern principles. The development of adolescence on the basis of a biopsychosocial model. Principles of counselling youth. An overview of the areas related to family planning: contraception, pregnancy, childbirth, adjustment of the family in the postpartum period.
Brief description of the course
Family planning. Reproductive health. Sexuality. Sexual education throughout history. Modern sexual education principles. Sexual education methodology. Aspects of development.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has an overview of sexual education and its modern principles
- knows the development of adolescence on the basis of a biopsychosocial model
- knows the principles of counselling youth
- has an overview of the areas related to family planning: contraception, pregnancy, childbirth, adjustment of the family in the postpartum period.
