Course aims
The aim of the course is to provide knowledge about fields of psychology and law.
Brief description of the course
The course reviews basic knowledge about theoretical and practical aspects in legal psychology. In the course the following principles are introduced: interviewing techniques of victims and witnesses, interrogation of suspects and false confessions, identification issues, deception detection, decision processes in legal settings.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows main theoretical aspects and research in psychology and law;
- knows main applications of legal psychology;
- is able to analyse and critically evaluate the texts in legal psychology.
